February 27, 2010 -  State Finals - Competition at Morris Knolls High School

Directions Morris Knolls High School Campus, 50 Knoll Drive, Rockaway, NJ  07866 

From I-80

Whether you're heading East or West on I-80, take Exit 37 and make a right onto Rt. 513 at the end of the ramp.  Make a left onto Union Street (across from gas station).  Stay right at the fork on Union.  Go to stop sign and make a left onto Main Street.  Make your first right onto Franklin Avenue.  Take Franklin Avenue straight through the traffic light.  Make your first left onto Knoll Drive. (about 1/4 mile).  The school is at the end of the street. 

From Rt. 46 (East of Rockaway)

Take Rt. 46 West through Denville.  Go approximately 2 miles to the Walgreen’s on the far left (beyond traffic light).  Make a left (light for left turn) onto Franklin Avenue at the light.  Make your second left onto Knoll Drive (about 1/4 mile).  The school is at the end of the street. 

From Rt. 46 (West of Rockaway)

Take Rt. 46 East through Dover.  Pass the Shop-Rite and Stewarts Root Beer stand on the right.  At the third light past Stewarts (Hess & Shell stations on the corners) make a right onto Franklin Avenue.  Take your second left onto Knoll Drive (about 1/4 mile).  The school is at the end of the street. 

From Rt. 10 West

Take Rt. 10 to Franklin Road exit (Exxon station on corner).  Go to stop sign, make a left onto Franklin Avenue.  Take Franklin Avenue to Knoll Drive (2nd left).  School is at the end of the street. 

From I-287, NJ Turnpike-Garden State Parkway
Take I-287 North to Rt. 10 West (Exit 39) and follow directions above.

From Route 208 North:
Take Ewing Avenue exit to end of ramp
Turn left onto Ewing Avenue

or

From Route 208 South
Take Ewing Avenue exit to end of ramp
Turn right  onto Ewing Avenue

then
Proceed to left turn signal—turn left onto George Street
High School is at end of street.
 

Region III & IV - Competition at West Windsor Plainsboro High School

From the Turnpike South


Exit the New Jersey Turnpike at Exit 8, Hightstown. Proceed to Route 33 West. Continue to the second light and make a left. Continue to the next light and make a right on Stockton Street. Follow Stockton Street to Route 130. Cross over Route 130 (call this light #1). You will now be on Route 571 also known as Princeton-Hightstown Road. Stay on this road until the 10th traffic light. Here you will turn left onto Clarksville Road and the entrance to the parking lot is on the left.

From the Turnpike North

Take New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 8 for Hightstown and Route 33 West. Turn right onto Route 571, towards Princeton. At the ninth traffic light, turn left onto Clarksville Road. The school is on the right.

From Route 1 South

At Washington Road traffic circle, take jughandle exit, crossing Route 1 towards Hightstown to Route 571. You proceed about halfway around the circle and the road becomes Princeton-Hightstown Road. Proceed; at fork, bear left (go over the railroad tracks. At the third traffic light, turn right onto Clarksville Road. The school is on the left.

From Route 1 North

Pass Quakerbridge Mall and exit right onto Quakerbridge Road. Proceed into the left lane and at the second traffic light, turn left onto Clarksville Road. Continue on Clarksville Road and proceed through the second traffic light. The school will be on your right.

The dates for the 2010 International Academic Decathlon are:

Country Competition – March 4 – 5, 2010. Essay will be conducted on February 26, 2010

National Competition – April 21 – 24, 2010. Omaha, Nebraska

Times will be worked out to accommodate individual countries.
