Here's the "final" details
for the state competition:
Competition: Saturday, March 6
at Morris Knolls H.S.
(Revised program pages
attached - please note revised schedule)
Oral Super Quiz will take
place in a written format directly before lunch - Ties broken
after the last objective test.
Competition is scheduled
to end by 2:45 p.m. (tied SQ schools remain to break ties)
Volunteers report at
previously announced times.
We need more confirmed
volunteers (including student runners and guides)
Awards Dinner: Wednesday, March
10 at Morris Knolls H.S.
Dinner at 5:45 p.m.,
Awards at 6:45 pm.
Attendance count due on
Saturday at competition - revisions okay until Monday noon.
Schools not attending
should declare this to the state director before Saturday.
Further notes:
You will receive
participation certificates for all students originally scheduled
to compete. You can decide whether to distribute them to
absentees. To the extent possible, ADNJ does not want to
penalize students for conflicts caused by the weather.
Morris Knolls has made the
gym available for Oral SQ, but at this point there are several
problems: decathletes who need to return home for other events
already scheduled for this date, volunteers, and committee
responsibilities.
Thanks to Morris Knolls for
working with us, to Kinnelon and to Waldwick for their response
to our issues, and to all of you for your patience and
understanding.
